The Specialty of Luxury Homes & Why | By Sync Brokerage

Truth be told, luxury doesn’t always mean cash, at least in the sense of it being expensive.

It’s a matter of subjectivity, where the base target these listings are reaching end up being these high-end real estate buyers.

For many who have come across a listing in their own neighborhood that appears to be under the category of luxury, you may be wondering as to why that is. Sometimes when we think of the word luxury itself, we even think about how this home or real estate listing is incredibly special to some regard, whether it’s the style of the price itself to even the location of the listing itself.

Though it can be quite hard to jot down a specific definition for the term luxury here, what is found to be common among many luxury homes is that they are very polished and very posh, to say the least.

That is why we created a concise list of five ways that you can greatly determine how a luxury listing is truly a luxury listing.

1. Within the Area the Home is Pricey

Many luxury homes and their prices tend to differ based on their overall location and area. Sometimes a luxury home located in Studio City, CA may not be considered luxury if it was placed in an area like West Palm Beach, FL. Therefore, keeping this in mind, it should be noted that if most homes are generally secluded to a degree within the established neighborhoods, then the chances of them being luxury can be defined.

In terms of prices though, expect most of these home prices to start around 500k to about 3 million range. Some even go for higher, so keep that in mind as well.

2. Their Primary Location

Aforementioned above, the location differs but also matters when it comes to how a home is defined as a luxury. Whether again it is located in Studio City in West Palm, or even on top of a mountain to close to the sidelines of a beach, the location matters for it to be a proper luxury home.

3. Quality Has to Go Beyond High Quality

Whether it is the overall design, the materials when it was being built or refurbished, all has to be beyond and above the typical standards of a normal home. With the highest quality woods and silvers to even marble, when you see these materials first hand, then you truly have stepped into a luxury home.

4. The Amenities/Privacy

Like all luxury homes, the amenities have to be top-notch as well. This is where the high-end buyers fully determine if they are willing to spend their big bucks for the listing as it helps to ensure them, they have the right amount of space, safety, and most importantly, security/privacy in their intended listing.

5. The Recognition/Prominence

What’s shocking is that most luxury homes don’t have to be flashy, but really built on prominent figures in the art and architectural world. That is a true takeaway when it comes to purchasing a listing as it provides a story or a history if you will of how the luxury home came to be.

In the end, luxury homes are truly defined based on who seeks them.

It is what is considered high quality to the beholder and how it provides the intended space it needs for that person. Whether it is the location or the privacy it provides, these things are all subjective to the person and that person declares whether or not the listing is indeed luxury.
